Is there a dinner buffet??
I went in there to get biryani because I'm a big fan and this is my second time visiting Because it was decent biryani the first time. I ordered a biriyani, one paratha and a coconut drink and the total was $13 which i thought to myself was a little more than i expected. I reach home and the paratha was not there and so i called them to tell them that they forgot the paratha and that if they would remember it the next time i was there but he just said that he didnt charge me for the paratha and i know now that he was trying to fool me. I know a good biryani and that wasnt it. There was hardly any chicken or spices. It was basically just basmati rice. Very very disappointed.
MoreWent here on a whim late on a Sunday with nothing else open. This type of cuisine is not my specialty, so I can't attest to the authenticity. However, the food was exceptional and surprisingly so. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala (how White Suburbanite of us) and Shahi Chicken with Naan as well as a side of Pani Puri. The Naan was unbelieveable fresh, hot and soft, like a warm blanket fresh out the dryer. The curries were so flavorful and soaked perfectly into the Naan in much the same way an Oreo sits at the bottom of a glass of milk and becomes decadent. This place is worth the price point and food, especially if it's late and the usual array of late night Fast Food & Mexican eateries aren't to your liking. Many of the negative reviews comment on authenticity. While authenticity may be integral to enjoying a meal for some, the fact of the matter is this food was superb and fresh. Made with love from some local business owners, thank you much.
MoreA great place to experience a delicious Indian meal.
Worst Desi food in town. Worst service as well.
I'm not sure if I know what authentic Indian food tastes like, as I didn't start really eating it until a couple years ago, but the food definitely appeals to my Thai-American tastes. Not as fancy as the other two Middle-Eastern restaurants in the area, but a bit cheaper. I've been here three times, ordering the mutton curry, the combination plate with fish curry, and the Aloo Mutter, and they've all been quite satisfying.
MoreI ordered for chicken samosa , i got chicken puff and I ordered for chicken korma and i got some biryani and that is really baddd
MoreThis is the first time I have ever had Indian food and it was absolutely fantastic. The service was incredible and the waitress was such a sweetheart. I can honestly say that it is taking everything in me to not go back and get some more right now. 😭😂
MorePricey for the quality. Guy in the front was kinda mad that we asked questions about the menu when the restaurant was alone
MoreI absolutely love this place. It’s worth the prize. It s our go to when we aren’t sure what to eat. The staff is very kind and helpful. Highly recommend.
MoreVery good Indian food.
I LOVE this place. My boyfriend and I eat here here a week. Went here once and it wasn't spicy at all. If you ask them they'll put some spice in it. Just ask for a little spicy, medium or extreme. I get a little spicy and it's pretty hot. And the portions are surprisingly large for what it looks like. So good.
MoreAmazingly delicious food. If I'm in the mood for curry or shahi chicken, I come here. Great portions, the naan is good and the rice is perfect! Top it off with a bottled coke and it's a perfect meal for one!
MoreCheap Indian food. No choice on how hot it comes. Bone in mutton so be careful ordering it for children.
MoreGreat place nice stuff food amazing
This is a note more than anything. The restaurant came under new management a couple years ago. That's why you notice the stark contrast between the bad reviews from years ago and the great more recent ones. I wish Google would remove the old ones. I've seen a lot of my favorite restaurants go to the wayside and I'd hate to see this one do so because of bad reviews of the previous owners. That being said, this place is wonderful. The service is decent. The food is excellent. I recommend the chicken biryani. Their tea is also fantastic. They have a spicy dish with tons of eggplant in it, but I can't think of the name... Anyways, it's one of my favorite dishes as well. Just, go there and try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed if you have any taste for AUTHENTIC Indian food.
MoreThis is a great restaurant for authentic South Asian cuisine! The service is fast, and they give you a lot of food. You can even get take-out here and call ahead.
MoreFood was good. Hosts were friendly. I will be back. I found the curry and naan perfectly balanced for a nice lunch.
MoreMe and my husband love this place. Bit expensive but delicious!!!
Best naan! Lunch buffet feels like your grandmother made it for you with lots of love. You won’t leave hungry.
MoreGood Indian taste!
All food are precooked. Which is not good for health. The new owner worsen than the old owner. Food quality and taste awful.
MoreIf you want Pakistani type of daal(lantern)with naan order haleem from their appetizer. Everything else taste the same because they use butter chicken gravy in everything, they seem Bengali so maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be not sure. Little on pricy side. Chai is goodAugust 2019
MoreThis place was a delightful surprise. Thanks!
I needed a change from stretching out the ingredients in my cupboard and chain fast food and omg am I thankful I came upon this place on uber eats. Wonderful seasoning and such care put into the recipes. I am such a happy camper right now. I rarely write reviews.
MoreI ordered the kebabs, haleem, samosas, and Naan. The kebabs and haleem were not cooked all the way. They were tough to eat and did not taste very good, neither was the Naan I ordered. Instead of samosas, I got potato chop. I wish I would not have spent my money or time at Deshi Curry.
MoreIt was good and not much Indian food here. Little bit expensive but ok
It is the only Bangladeshi restaurant in town. Food is okay, biriani dishes are no where near like what it is in Bangladesh! Would only recommend to go when there are no other options!
MoreThe food there is really good especially since they got a new owner the menu has improved and the taste as well. The service was good before, but it still got a bit better. If you are looking for good halal/zabiha meals indian/bengali food this is the place to go. I recommend the chicken tikka masala and the korma with biryani, naan or regular rice.
MoreGood Food. Helpful service
Nice food n good service
I used to eat here but last time I went there with my wife. We ordered a pani puri and the pani (water) for puri had a hair in it. I called the lady I told her there’s a hair in it. She didn’t understand for few times then I showed her the hair. I asked her to change the water. She went inside the kitchen and she took the hair out of the container then brought it back. She didn’t change the water. It was pretty disgusting. There’s a hygiene issue. I have decided not to go there again for sure. They have lost my business. Come on if you’re charging for food at least keep good hygiene. Negative star
MoreVery tasty! Pleasant service.
I really like this place. The guy that works there is really nice and hospitable. I didn't know what to order and he explained the items on the menu. He also made me sweet tea whereas most restaurants I've visited here just tell me they only have unsweetened tea. The rice with goat meat is delicious!!! I had never had goat meat and rice now I'm hooked on it! This place gets 5 stars and 2 thumbs up from me. 😊
MoreGood place to eat Indian food. Quiet and calm place, preferably take out (I almost do that), mutton biryani is good
MoreThe best place to go I love the food the man who work there zouhair is very polite 👍
MoreHey guys, please be careful when you eat here, I like the food from this restaurant, but from what I know, they precook a lot of things and only preheat them to serve. Last night was the worse, while I was eating my mutton briyani, I saw a cockroach in my food, that was so disgusting. I have never written a review but I am really concerned about the health issue of this restaurant. The next morning I went to tell the problem with the owner, he seems like he doesn't really care about it, not even a sorry. I guess that will stop me from buying food from this restaurant for the rest of my life.UPDATE GUYS: I ASK THE SERVER AND THEY SHOWED ME THATS A KIND OF SPICE AND ITS NOT ROACHES, ITS MY BAD IM SORRY
MoreAte the buffet and it was fantastic. One of our favorite stops in Wichita.
The food is Good.. place Needs remodeling soon!
The delicious food and the kind staff make up for the needed upkeep of the restaurant.
MoreSeems like the rice has changed since my last visit. Preferred the other than this new recipe but still ok. Portion was also small for $12 beef curry. More rice than anything.
MoreWorst experience.....ordered item for take away and given items were different.... Once we called and informed then the experience was even worst.... Please don't prefer.....
MoreHave been coming here for some time. We have not found anything we do not like. Service is respectful, and efficient. A hidden gem for the put of the ordinary.
MoreYou get medium to small portion sizes, and almost every dish is about $11. Simpler dishes are a couple bucks cheaper. The food is pretty good though, and it's an excellent choice if you're okay with the price and portion sizes. The restaurant feels a little bit unlively inside, it's always awkwardly quiet to the point you feel like you need to whisper. As for the buffet, which I didn't know existed when I first wrote this review: it's kind of strange how unprepared they seemed for customers. The buffet is (somehow) confusing, and it's unclear whether it's all you can eat or not. The waitress was very awkward with us, in fact slightly rude, and generally unapproachable. The buffet food is hard to even serve onto your plate because it's not cut up or stirred in such a way to be easily scooped onto your plate.
More, ordered takeout , been ordering Chicken Curry and Garlic Naan for years but this time there is a new cook , he suuuuuck bad , Chicken curry , taste like chicken tikka masala and it’s not good ,and Garlic Naan is soggy ,
MoreThe chicken combination plate could have been one of the many meals I ate while working in Bangladesh. The dhal bhat, vegetable bhaji and chicken curry were excellent and authentic. The waitress was very accommodating, suggesting a less spicy option for our youngest. She also brought sliced cucumber and limes to accent our meals at our request.
MoreReally friendly service and great chicken shawarma at a good price!
Is this biriyani? It tastes like plain rice. Not a good place to go and eat.
Great Food from Pakistan and Indian Annexed Kashmir.😘🇵🇰👅 Service was amazing too.
MoreFood is too bad. They are serving rice mixed with chicken curry or mutton curry as biryani.
